A space for healing, growth, and lasting transformation

Holistic & somatic therapy for adults in New Jersey

Carrying anger and resentment, or overthinking, feeling anxious, tense and overwhelmed is exhausting.

These are not your personality traits, but symptoms of a deeper issue that needs healing. It's your body telling you that something needs your attention. Therapy helps you trust yourself and your inner wisdom, strengthen your sense of self, increases resilience, and builds confidence. If you want to heal and have peace and stability, I’m here for all of it.

Approach to therapy

My mission as a therapist is to help folks heal from the pain of their past and transform their relationships to themselves – and their lives – in the present.

My philosophy is rooted in humility. I strive to embody the openness and compassionate curiosity that I encourage in my clients. You can expect me to be warm, nonjudgmental and transparent. I’ll help you process your thoughts, offering feedback, insight and psycho-education along the way. I’ll hold space for the complexity of your feelings and support you in experiencing and working through them, together.

I also sincerely believe that humor is essential to healing and building resilience – not to mention the power of mutually recognizing both the joys and absurdities of being human. So, it would be fair to expect a bit of levity from time to time too.

I am committed to practicing with a trauma-informed, LGBTQI+ affirming, feminist and anti-racist lens. I am dedicated to staying engaged in the work of understanding and leveraging my own privilege.

My training as a social worker informs the values I hold as a psychotherapist — and as a person.

Here are a few of my fundamental beliefs:

  • That every person has an intrinsic capacity to heal
  • That every person is inherently deserving and worthy of love
  • That learning to accept ourselves as we are is the most effective means for change
  • That connection to and awareness of our bodies is a source of profound wisdom and healing
  • That human beings are wired for connection. We hurt in relationships, but relationships are also where we heal.

  • That recognizing the pervasive impact of oppressive social structures (racism, sexism, heterosexism, classism, ableism, ageism, etc.) on the collective is essential context for understanding and supporting individuals’ mental health.
  • That we absorb powerful societal messaging that negatively impacts both our self-worth and our ability to authentically connect to others — and that this can be un-learned.
